We had a wonderful stay in September. The house is very peacefully located along a forest path, and the spacious, bright apartment is equipped with all modern comforts, while the Tuscan charm lies in the details. The small terrace by the apartment gets morning sun and is perfect for enjoying a coffee. At the bottom of the garden, there’s a larger terrace with a beautiful garden set under a tree and atmospheric lighting in the evening. The village of Avaglio at the foot of the hill has a small restaurant serving tasty, simple Italian dishes at very reasonable prices. In the other villages, you’ll also find a coffee bar or a local shop. If you want to go to a supermarket, it’s about a half-hour drive to Pistoia. Pistoia also offers art and culture and has a train station. You can take a train to Florence if you’d rather avoid driving in traffic. If you head in the opposite direction for half an hour from the apartment, you’ll reach beautiful Montecatini. Another nice excursion is towards Piteglio and Cutigliano.
